RECONSTRUCTION
Rebuild Your Residency History.
We reconstruct where you actually were, day by day, backed by evidence, from bank records, travel data, utilities, photos, and more. Advisor-ready.
Pricing
Engagements from $2,500 per reconstructed tax year.
Audit-response engagements are scoped individually based on notice deadlines and the states involved. A licensed advisor (yours or one from our network) reviews every reconstruction before it’s presented as final.
How It Works
Three steps from records to a reviewable timeline.
Step 1
15-minute scope quiz → instant quote
Answer a few questions about your situation and get an estimated engagement range immediately.
Step 2
Secure data connection
Point us to documents you already have (statements, leases, utility bills) and we compile them into your evidence file. We don’t take custody of your originals; documents are referenced, not stored. Read-only bank-account linking via Plaid is planned but not yet live; until then, we work from the statements you provide.
Step 3
Day-by-day reconstructed timeline
Receive a reconstructed timeline with confidence ratings per period and an evidence manifest your CPA or attorney can independently verify.

Five short questions. No account required. We’ll email your quote and, if you’re ready, take a $500 deposit that’s credited in full toward your engagement.
15-Minute Scope Quiz

FAQ
Questions people ask before starting.
What if the evidence isn’t favorable?
We report what the evidence shows. ResidencyIQ does not shade a reconstruction to support a preferred outcome; your advisor decides how to use the record, including whether and how to present it.
How far back does bank data go?
Read-only bank connections via Plaid are planned but not yet live; once available, they will typically return up to 24 months of transaction history. Today, and for years further back, we work from statements you provide directly.
Could this be discoverable in an audit?
Yes. If you assert or produce a ResidencyIQ reconstruction in an audit, examination, or proceeding, the full record, not just the parts favorable to you, may be discoverable by the taxing authority. Review the complete reconstruction with your advisor before deciding whether and how to use it.
Who sees my data?
Your data is reviewed by the ResidencyIQ personnel working on your reconstruction and, if you invite one, your CPA or attorney. We do not sell or share your information, and any financial records you provide are used solely to build your reconstruction.
Disclaimer
ResidencyIQ is not a law firm, CPA firm, or tax advisor. Reconstruction produces an informational, evidence-linked record, not a legal determination or a guarantee of any audit outcome. Review your reconstruction with a licensed attorney or CPA before relying on it.
